Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Marketing and Sales Manager to join our team for a one-year contract period. The successful candidate will develop and implement marketing strategies to promote Kabod Group’s services and drive sales growth. This role will also oversee marketing efforts for the Muna Kalati App, our digital library for African children.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy and Implementation
• Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to promote Kabod Group’s services in Knowledge Management, research, and Language Services
• Create and manage marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and social media
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and inform marketing strategies
• Collaborate with the Knowledge Management, eLearning, and Language Services teams to develop compelling marketing materials and value propositions
Sales Management
• Set and achieve sales targets for Kabod Group’s services
• Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and partners
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals when needed
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand Kabod Group’s client base
Muna Kalati App Marketing
• Develop and implement targeted marketing strategies to promote the Muna Kalati App to African families and educational institutions
• Collaborate with the app development team to gather user feedback and inform product improvements
Team Leadership
• Supervise and mentor the existing team of communications and graphic designers
• Assign tasks, set deadlines, and ensure high-quality output from the team
• Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations
Reporting and Analytics
• Prepare regular reports on marketing and sales performance for the Head of Admin and Managing Director
• Analyze campaign effectiveness and ROI to optimize marketing spend
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for both marketing and sales activities
Requirements
• Master’s degree in marketing, sales, business administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing and sales, preferably in the education or tech
industry
• Proven record of accomplishment of developing and implementing successful marketing
strategies
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and CRM systems
• Knowledge of the African education and technology landscape is a plus
• Familiarity with early childhood education, academia or the tech industry is a plus.
