Our strategic partnerships with esteemed institutions such as WACSI, Innovation for Change, and the Fund for Global Human Rights have resulted in transformative projects that address pressing challenges in development aid, funding sustainability, social accountability, and community empowerment.
Commissioned by WACSI in 2023, with funding from Robert Bosch Stiftung, this study provides critical insights into the evolving dynamics of aid, exploring the implications of decolonizing aid frameworks. This research worked highlighted the need for a paradigm shift that empowers local communities and enhances their agency in the development process, ensuring that initiatives are more responsive to the needs of those they aim to serve.
This guidebook compiles 12 innovative funding strategies tailored to help CSOs achieve financial sustainability. Through providing organizations with alternative funding options, this research project enhanced the resilience and adaptability of CSOs in a competitive funding landscape, ensuring the sustainability of essential civil society initiatives.

Succession planning is not a common practice in civil society organisations (CSOs). The objectives of this publication are to both make a case for the importance of succession planning and to use the experiences of CSOs to provide realistic suggestions on how CSOs can execute a smooth succession from one leader to the next at all levels within the organisation. Our analysis focuses on succession planning processes and practices.
