Marthe Anémone LOKO BILLE MATIO has a PhD in Translation Studies and is Assistant Lecturer within the Department of Translation and Interpreting of the Faculty of Social Sciences and International Relations (FSSIR) at the Protestant University of Central Africa (PUCA), in Yaounde-Cameroon. Her PhD Thesis was on : “Sciences and Technologies knowledge Transfer in Duala through intersemiotique translation: case study of primary school in Wouri division.”

Roseline MBALLA

Roseline MBALLA is a translator, teacher, researcher, and advocate for African indigenous languages, from Cameroon. Passionate about language preservation and revitalisation, she focuses on Kòlò and Itón through teaching, translation, and digital tools. Her work includes creating glossaries, children’s books, and promoting AI/ML integration for language sustainability.

Paul Warambo

Paul Warambo is a leading translation expert in Kenya and East Africa with over a decade of experience. He holds a Master’s in Kiswahili Studies from the University of Nairobi and is pursuing a PhD. His expertise spans legal, medical, policy, IT, business, humanitarian, and literary translations for organizations including UNHCR, UNEP, World Vision, Save the Children, and the Pan African Parliament. A published translator and trainer, Warambo has trained over 500 translators locally and internationally, and actively contributes to global translation forums. He has also contributed immensely to the language tech development for low resource languages of the continent.

Perene Dachiny Ewekengha Okana

Dachiny Ewekengha, known as Dash, is a translator and subtitler from the Republic of Congo. He works with English, French, and Lingala. As the first subtitler from his country, his work has been featured on major streaming platforms like Netflix, Disney, Amazon Prime, and Apple TV. Currently, Dash is a Localization Specialist and Coordinator for Afrolinguals Magazine. He also works as a Project Manager, Interpreter, and Trainer, where he helps colleagues better understand the translation market.
