Context
Kabod Group, under the leadership of Christian Elongué, had the honor of partnering with the West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) and the Wilden Ganzen Foundation on a groundbreaking eLearning initiative. This project aimed to empower Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) across Africa by enhancing their financial sustainability and organizational resilience through an online course focused on Alternative Funding Models for Nonprofits.
Contributions
- eLearning Content Creation and Development: Kabod Group played a crucial role in developing engaging and context-specific eLearning content tailored to the unique needs of African CSOs.
- Design and Branding of Moodle Platform: Our team was responsible for designing and branding the Moodle platform, creating a visually appealing and user-friendly learning environment, including templates, curricula, and essential elements.
- Instructional Design and Development: We structured a comprehensive learning journey with interactive activities, including video lessons, optional readings, case studies for each of the 12 Alternative Funding Models, and additional resources like videos and infographics. Quizzes were integrated to assess participant understanding effectively.
- Training and Knowledge Transfer: Understanding the importance of sustainability, Kabod Group conducted thorough training sessions, equipping the WACSI team to autonomously manage the eLearning platform. This marked their inaugural experience in developing home-designed eLearning courses.
Impact
The course has significantly impacted hundreds of CSOs in Africa, contributing to increased sustainability for nonprofits across the continent. The platform has become a valuable learning resource for numerous CSOs and International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs), fostering engagement and knowledge-sharing.
