Position Overview 

As an intern in Human Resources and Finance, you will be an integral member of our team, contributing to talent development and maintaining an effective finance system. Your expertise and insights will be crucial to both the HR and finance teams for the success of the organization. The six-month duration of KIP includes a one-month externship period in one of Kabod’s local partners institutions whose work is aligned with the intern’s career goals. 

Position: Intern in Human Resources and Finance Unit 

Responsibilities             

  1. Support the implementation a comprehensive accounting system tailored to the unique needs of our consulting and training business.  
  2. Assist in recording financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, and collaborate with Head of Admin to prepare and present accurate financial reports. 
  3. Collaborate with the leadership team to create and monitor annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections.  
  4. Assist in generating insightful analysis of financial data, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities to support informed decision-making. 
  5. Propose financial strategies that align with Kabod’s goals and objectives and make informed recommendation of investment opportunities and potential financial risks. 
  6. Assist the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and onboarding new employees. 
  7.  Assist in the implementation of talent development initiatives such as Kabod performance reviews (KPR), Productivity Reports and Kabod Workers Conference (KWC) 

Requirements: 

  •  Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required. 
  •  Previous experience in both HR and accounting/finance roles is preferred, with a strong understanding of each area’s principles and practices. 
  •  Ability to analyze financial data and interpret HR metrics for strategic decision-making. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are crucial for interacting with employees, management, and external stakeholders. 
  • Precision is essential in financial reporting, compliance, and HR documentation. 
  • Capability to resolve conflicts, handle complex financial issues, and address HR-related challenges effectively. 
  • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems), accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Zoho Books etc). 
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. 
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
