Kabod Group (KG) is a consulting firm providing Professional services in Knowledge Management (KM), e-learning and Languages (interpretation and translation from English to French, Portuguese and over 30 African languages).

Position Overview

As a Business Development Manager, you will be an integral member of our team responsible to drive the growth and expansion of our company for increasing the client bases for Kabod Language Services, our Research and E-learning.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Kabod Language Services at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote our services and expand our network.

  • Increase the client bases for Kabod Languages Services, and research and e-learning services.

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the language services industry, talent development and e-learning.

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives on a quarterly and annual basis.

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential new markets.

  • Identify potential clients and generate leads through various channels, including networking, calls, emails, and referrals.

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions using CSM software.

  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships, collaborations, and alliances that can enhance Kabod’s market presence, customer base, and revenue streams.

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets. Present and demonstrate products or services to prospective clients, addressing their inquiries and objectives.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administrative, Marketing, Linguistics, or a related field.

  • Proven 5 years of professional experience in marketing sales or advertising.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders.

  • Proven track record of success in business development within the language services industry, particularly in research and e-learning.

  • Strong understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, and client needs in the language services sector.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and concepts clearly and persuasively.

  • Creative thinker with a passion for exploring new business opportunities.

  • A good understanding of the education industry or nonprofit sector.

  • Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft office Suite and data analysis, and presentation.
