Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Intern in Community Management to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing our online communities, fostering engagement, and contributing to the overall success of our initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day activities of the networks of African Languages Translators and Teachers (ALATT), the Marketplace for African language Translators and Interpreters (MATI), and Kabod Alumni Network (KAN).
- Develop and implement strategies to increase community engagement and participation.
- Monitor and moderate community discussions, ensuring a positive and inclusive environment.
- Develop and curate relevant and engaging content for the communities, including blog posts, articles, and multimedia materials.
- Plan and execute virtual events, webinars, and workshops to promote community interaction and knowledge sharing.
- Act as the point of contact for community members, addressing inquiries and concerns.
- Regularly communicate updates, news, and celebrate active communities’ members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or professional certificate in communication, social media management, Education, or a related field.
- Strong passion for community building, networking, and community of practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in an in-person or remote environment.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, community management tools, and data analytics.
